Wow! If, like me you thought that the image from your DVDs on your standard-definition TV was pin sharp then you have to see this! The Sony BDP-S360 Profile 2.0 Blu-ray Player connected to a HDTV gives an amazing improvement to your films that you didn't think possible and that's not just new Blu-ray DVDs but all of your existing DVDs too! How it does this is beyond me but it uses something named 'Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology' which basically converts the standard-definition signals from your existing DVDs up to the full HD 1080p equivalent. The picture is just excellent.
Insert a Blu-ray DVD into the Sony BDP-S360 and you're taken to another level where the film is brought to life in front of you. Grab a bag of popcorn and you'll really think you're sat in the cinema. The audio is fantastic quality too and can connect straight into a 7.1 surround sound system to fill the room with sound. You get Full HD images at 1920 x 1080 line resolution with progressive scanning that will blow your mind or at least it did mine!
The BDP-S360 is smart looking, compact and seems to be of high quality manufacturing. Connect it to your HDTV, drop in a DVD and it works as stated on the tin, my 5 year old daughter has no problems operating it. It takes 6 to 10 seconds to load your average movie which is just as quick as the PS3 that it's replacing in my living room.
What I think is that this Blue-ray DVD player is an amazing unit for the price and judging by the 100's of reviews over at Amazon which average 4.5 out of 5 stars other people think so too, some people are complaining that there is no eject button on the remote control but as you have to walk over to the unit to remove the DVD anyway I don't see what the issue is.
