Maxi-Cosi Axiss (Black Reflection/Lily Pink) Group 1 Car Seat

So our youngest was starting to look uncomfortable in her rear facing baby seat and we decided that we needed to buy a real car seat, one that she could sit upright in and look forward and, preferably one that she could see out of the window from - because being able to see the passing view is half the fun of travelling somewhere, isn't it?

After quite a few trips to real and online shops we were sold on the Maxi-Cosi Axiss Car Seat and here's why....

1, It's a reputable make and we have a Maxi-Cosi seat already for number 1 child.

2, Looks safe and amazingly comfortable, although I haven't tried it yet!!

3, She can see out of the window which means she needs less attention from you.

4, Easy to install and is firmly held by the seat belt.

5, It Swivels 90 degrees!!! The seat turns to face the you at the door, this genius idea itself makes the slightly higher price worth it, as you'll already know if you have a child and a 'normal' car seat. What does it say in the video below? You take your kid in & out of the car seat 7000 times!!!! It's got to save me some backache and I'll pay extra for that :-)

We've seen this car seat available in black (Black reflection) and pink (Lily Pink) and of course we bought the hot pink version for our little spice girl, it doesn't really go with the black leather car seats but hey, compromises have to be made everywhere when you have kids.

The swivelling part is the real winning feature of this car seat as it makes the seating/unseating of your little angel soooo much easier, especially when they're acting more like the devil than an angel!!! We've all been there, you're late, tired and just want to get going when the normally happy, smiling offspring decides to turn into a whirling dervish, Nightmare! Of course, this seat doesn't stop that happening but it does make it a little easier to get them strapped in whilst you're being kicked in the chin and having your hair pulled out!

The shoulder straps look quite big if you have a small child at the lower end of the age range but they soon grow into them and it's not ISO fix but other than that I have to give it 5 stars.

Ooops, I nearly forgot to mention, the jealous look on your friend's faces makes you realise that you made the right choice for once. ;-)
